The eighth annual HSBC Manx Youth Games are being staged today, kicking off with the opening ceremony on the NSC track at 10am.
About 1,200 children, aged from eight to 15, are competing in eleven different sports, including rugby and athletics.
It's the biggest sporting event of the year on the Island for children, and everyone who takes part will get a medal.
Member of the Department of Tourism and Leisure with responsibility for sport Quintin Gill, MHK, will be opening the games.
He says it's a fantastic event:

'Really important' children are inspired to use their imaginations, says Manx author
