Work to tackle problems taking longer than anticipated
There's currently no end in sight for work being undertaken at Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital.
Manx Care's chief executive says they are committed to maintaining services in the town, but that 'significant issues' with the building were discovered whilst tackling a pest infestation on Martin Ward.
Appearing on Mannin Line today, Teresa Cope said the hospital is strategically important for the organisation; but the work is going to take longer than anticipated.
She reiterated that the health and social care body was aware of the inconvenience caused to both patients and staff:
