Authority hopes to keep people up north
Ramsey Commissioners have organised a three-day music festival for TT fortnight, in a bid to keep visitors in the town.
'SprintFest' is scheduled to start on Mad Sunday and end on the Tuesday, coinciding with the Ramsey Sprint event.
Bands will take to the stage on each of the three evenings in the town's market square between 7:30 pm and 10:30 pm, with food from local vendors also provided.
The local authority has budgeted around £15,000 for SprintFest, and has had financial support from the Department for Enterprise and other sponsors.
Ramsey Commissioner Juan McGuinness says he wants the event to entice tourists to the town, and keep them there.
