Ramsey Courthouse 'won't lie dormant'

Commissioners react after plans fall through

The decision by a not-for-profit group to withdraw from running Ramsey Courthouse has been described as a 'blow' for the town.

The Heart of Ramsey (THOR) organisation cited funding problems as the reason for relinquishing its period of exclusivity on the building.

An initial target of £400,000 had been set by THOR in plans to enhance the iconic property in the centre of Ramsey.

Chairman of the Commissioners Andy Cowie explains what happens now, but told Local Democracy Reporter Chris Cave the site won't lie dormant:
