Gate also damaged during disruption
A man who assaulted a police officer and damaged a gate earlier this month will be sentenced next month.
John Anthony Green of Stanley Mount in Ramsey admitted the offences when he appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes this week.
He also admitted using provoking behaviour.
The court heard he’d damaged the gate belonging to Ramsey Commissioners during an incident in Bircham Avenue Close on 7 February.
Later that day, he assaulted the police officer in the Christian Street Cooperative car park.
Prosecution advocate Hazel Carroon said the cost of repairing the damage was £54.
Mrs Hughes adjourned the case for pre-sentence reports and Green was granted bail until he appears on 26 March.
