But Hooper says he doesn't want another debate on the issue
A Ramsey MHK who is trying to remove the next bishop’s vote says he doesn’t want to debate the issue again because ‘everything that needed to be said’ has already been aired.
Next week Lawrie Hooper will ask the House of Keys for permission to introduce a motion which would stop the head of the Manx church having a say in Tynwald or the Legislative Council.
It follows an unsuccessful move in June to remove the bishop from the political set-up completely.
