Lifeboat crew brought the casualty to safety on Monday evening before handing them to ambulance services
Ramsey RNLI rescued an injured person who had become cut off by the tide yesterday evening. (15 September)
The casualty was stranded between Ballure Beach and Port Lewaigue.
Sea conditions were described as moderate, with a strong westerly breeze.
The all-weather lifeboat Ann and James Ritchie 2 launched at 6.45pm and reached the scene within eight minutes.
Two crew members rowed to the casualty in an inflatable X-boat before transferring them to the lifeboat.
They were brought back to Ramsey Harbour and handed over to the Coastguard and Isle of Man Ambulance Service for assessment.
Coxswain Mark Kenyon says: "It is always advisable to check tidal conditions before walking in areas likely to be compromised by high tides, if you do find yourself in difficulties then do not hesitate to ask for assistance."
