Structure has been closed since the start of the month
Ramsey's historic swing bridge has re-opened to vehicular traffic.
The bridge had been closed since the beginning of the month for further repairs to replace rotten deck timbers.
During the closure the Department of Infrastructure also took the opportunity to replace the gears that operate the bridge's swing mechanism, and to re-lay the road surface.
The swing bridge first opened in 1892 and was given protected status in 2023.
