Issue remains in new Chief Minister's in-tray
The Island's new chief minister says he hopes his government will achieve lasting reform to the rating system.
A rates review was carried out by Allan Bell's administration which considered proposals for change, but a target for reform was not met.
Howard Quayle says the issue remains very much in the in-tray.
He says as a first step, discounts could be considered for elderly people living alone:
