Read the medicine bottle: motorists warned

Motorists on the Isle of Man are being urged to read the labels on prescription medicine.

A new anti drug-driving campaign has been launched in the UK today (Monday) warning drivers not to take illegal substances before getting behind the wheel.

Currently, there is no road side test for drug-driving but this new advert says police can spot a drug-driver by their dilated pupils and eye movements.

However, Head of the Road Safety Unit, Inspector Richard Power, says prescription drugs can also have dangerous effects.
