Reduced hours for Ramsey MIU this weekend

Staff illness forces Sunday closure

There will be reduced opening hours at Ramsey's Minor Injuries and Illnesses Unit this weekend.

Because of staff sickness, the facility in the Cottage Hospital will be open from 8am until 6pm today, with the last entry being 5:15pm.

Tomorrow, Sunday 2 April, it will be closed.

A nurse practitioner will be working from the Minor Ambulatory Care Unit at Noble's Hospital in Douglas on Sunday.

This is a similar service to the MIU in Ramsey and it's where those with minor injuries should go tomorrow.

The entrance is via the Emergency Department and it will be open from 8am until 8pm.

The on-call pharmacy in the North of the Island on Sunday is Lloyds Pharmacy Shoprite, Ramsey, which will be open 10am – 2pm.
Manx Care is urging people to consider going to their local pharmacy for minor ailments, as they can provide medication for a range of common complaints.
The pharmacy rota can be found here.
