DfE issues statement
The Department for Enterprise says ALL volunteer marshals and officials who had booked and paid for travel and accommodation will be fully refunded.
A statement was issued late last night in the wake of the fall-out of the cancellation of this year's Rally Isle of Man
In their statement the DfE says it's been working with Isle of Man Event Services to understand and mitigate the financial impact of the cancellation.
They say many stakeholders, including the Steam Packet and several hotels have helped support the move and work is continuing with regard to the impact of the cancellation on the Island.
Rally teams will get their entry fees refunded in full.
The statement ends by claiming the Island will be promoted with some special offers this months and next through IOM Event Services hotels affected.
