Sector figure urging new Treasury Minister to 'get involved in the real world'
A key representative of the hospitality sector has appealed to the new treasury minister to get involved in the real world, as he terms it.
Andy Gibbs, of Jaks and the Licensed Victuallers says regular meetings between the industry and the government would be very helpful.
Earlier this week, Chris Thomas was appointed as treasury minister following the dismissal of Dr Alex Allinson during a cabinet reshuffle by Chief Minister, Alfred Cannan.
They would, he says, give the Treasury an insight into what was happening:
Sailings cancelled due to predicted gales
Have your say on the future of the Island's plantations
Warning for 'disorderly' parents attending schools
Yellow weather warning for gale force winds
