Treasury minister appears live on Mannin Line
Treasury is now working to understand what the true level of unemployment is on the Isle of Man - according to its minister.
Alf Cannan was appearing live on the Mannin Line this lunch time.
In the July budget update, Mr Cannan outlined how government's coronavirus support schemes are going to be withdrawn.
The Manx Earnings Replacement Allowance, or MERA, will drop from £200 to £100 a week after 3 August.
He says this will reveal the 'real' state of the Manx economy:
Island's finances 'in a better position than most other jurisdictions'
Completion of assisted dying bill 'the most significant moment of 2025'
Keep dogs away from Garwick Beach for next few days
Cost of sending a letter on the Island to increase in January
