Cherry Orchard owner speaks out
The owner of the Cherry Orchard in Port Erin is defiant a tribunal ruling left him with no choice but to place parts of the hotel into liquidation.
Earlier this year, a Rent and Rates appeal hearing found leaseholders at the complex had been overcharged by £89,000 and should be paid back.
Boss Robert Gillings this week closed the restaurant, bar and function facilities at the complex, citing that ruling as the main factor.
He believes it was 'manifestly unfair'.
