An electrical retailer in the Isle of Man is appealing to MHKs over what it claims is unfair competition from the Manx Electricity Authority.
A letter from T H Colebourn to all members says it is inappropriate for the government to be competing against the private sector, through the authority's retail outlet.
In a written reply to a recent Keys question, MEA chairman Quintin Gill said the authority's shops were operating fairly, but making a loss.
Colebourn's managing director Tony Lyth told Manx Radio it wasn't a case of 'sour grapes':
Construction costs on the Island 18% above UK average and comparable with Outer London
