Steve Rodan stepping down after 26 years in Manx politics

The outgoing President of Tynwald says having its own parliament is the Island's most precious asset.

Steve Rodan will step down from the role in July after five years overseeing proceedings in the court.

He retires from Manx politics after 26 years, having first been elected to the House of Keys in 1995.

Speaking to Manx Radio's John Moss, Mr Rodan says being able to create its own laws is vital for the Island:
