MLC to consult members on 'priceless' Manx document
A campaign to bring what is considered to be the most significant document of Manx history permanently to the Isle of Man, could be revived by a senior politician.
Bill Henderson MLC is looking to open talks on what is the rightful place of the Chronicles of Mann, a 13th century manuscript which is legally owned by the UK Government.
The Celtic League member says the national importance of the document, which currently resides at the British Library, cannot be understated.
Mr Henderson hopes one possibility for the future could be for the Isle of Man to have The Chronicles on an indefinite loan:
