Third sector 'filling the gap' in mental health provision
Returning to the classroom after Covid has been a 'challenge' for the Island's pupils.
In her evidence, Education Minister Julie Edge explained how a gap in provision for mental health services in schools has been filled by third sector organisations such as Isle Listen.
When asked whether the DESC's budget could meet that need, Ms Edge said she believed the structure of government should be looked at to decide whether responsibility for children should sit with her department or Manx Care.
Manx Radio asked her what anecdotal evidence she'd seen of a mental health issues in the Island's classrooms:
Chamber: Positive Moneyval assessment vital for Island's future
Prostate cancer pathway available despite lack of screening
More than 200 residential planning applications granted permission but work yet to commence
Aviation safety audit will be 'completely independent'
