Board will "operate differently than before"
The Climate Change Transformation Board has been integrated into the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.
Garff MHK Daphne Caine stepped down as Chair in June to focus on her new role as Minister for Education, Sport and Culture.
DEFA Minister Clare Barber informed Tynwald that she has now taken over as Chair, but the board will operate differently than before.
It will now function as a 'funding board' while maintaining the climate policies previously established.
Previously, the board served as the 'delivery team' for the Climate Change Plan, which outlined the actions needed to reduce emissions on the Island.
Politicians were informed that the department is 'finalising pieces' before the revamped board begins its work, with existing members staying on.
