RTLC asks for further views and input amid changing economic situation

A review of taxi fares on the Isle of Man has been extended due to the ongoing war in the Middle East.

The Roads Transport Licensing Committee has been asking for views and proposals from operators and representative bodies on the maximum fares vehicles under hire can charge.

This consultation got underway at the end of last year and the RTLC says several responses were received in January.

The body, while it is yet to make a decision on the tariff review, says it recognises that the world has changed 'significantly' since the US and Israel began its offensive against Iran on 28 February.

The RTLC is inviting anyone who hasn't yet submitted their view, or who's changed their mind since January, to do so by 31 March.
