Public sector pensions in the Isle of Man will be in the spotlight in the House of Keys this morning.
South Douglas MHK Bill Malarkey will ask Chief Minister Tony Brown why pensions for members of Tynwald aren’t included in proposals for reform.
Yesterday, the Manx Government began a six month public consultation on a review by Hymans Robertson, which recommends unifying the existing schemes into a single package.
Mr Malarkey says the review is needed, but members of Tynwald should be included:
Warning over flare disposal after amenity site fire
Suspended sentence for 56-year-old in cannabis supply case
Owner of a block of flats fined for failing to meet fire safety regulations
Review of taxi fares extended to assess impact of Middle East conflict
