Health Minister hopes to make drug more accessible
A review is underway which could make a drug which reverses the effects of an opioid overdose more accessible.
Health minister David Ashford confirmed work is underway which would allow naloxone to be prescribed by any practitioner.
Since being introduced, 87 kits have been issued, with six being used.
Mr Ashford admitted not everyone who has been offered a kit has undergone training:
Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital closure 'inconvenient' but 'significant issues' need to be fixed
Four local authorities looking for by-election candidates
Reinstatement of home births 'remains at top of agenda' for Manx Care
Weekend sailings at risk
