Road safety presence on Steam Packet vessels for TT

Officers on-hand to talk to visitors

Passengers onboard Steam Packet vessels will be given the opportunity to watch a new road safety video designed to encourage people to stay safe on the Island’s roads during the TT fortnight.

Two road safety officers, from the Isle of Man Constabulary, will travel on daytime sailings, from Liverpool and Heysham, between 30 May and 4 June.

They will provide information and advice and show the new ‘Miss Me?’ campaign.

The Steam Packet has confirmed the bookings were transferred from 2019 – when the last TT ran.

Brian Thomson is the managing director:

Sergeant Andy Reed said: "The Isle of Man Constabulary is appreciative of the opportunity to have a presence on Steam Packet vessels during the TT Festival in recent years.

"Officers board daytime sailings making themselves available to the passengers to provide TT road safety information and advice.

"The bookings for officers aboard vessels for this year have been confirmed with the Steam Packet Company."
