The debate continues next week
Members of the House of Keys have been locked in debate about the future of abortion law on the Isle of Man, with some of the tabled amendments turned down.
Chris Robertshaw had called for the time limit to allow abortions on request to be reduced from 14 weeks to 12 weeks, and abortion for serious health reasons not to be allowed after 21 weeks instead of the proposed 23.
Both were defeated by 17 votes to six.
The debate continues in the chamber next week (12 March).
