Rock giant lined up for TT concert

A TT treat could be in store for rock music fans.

Arrangements are being finalised for Whitesnake to play at the festival, with the Villa Marina gardens on June 9 the potential venue and date.

Whitesnake is fronted by David Coverdale who sang with rock legends Deep Purple in the 1970s before leaving to form his own group.

His career in Whitesnake peaked with the multi-million selling '1987' album, which included the singles Here I Go Again, and Is This Love?

The Department of Tourism and Leisure says if contracts are exchanged, tickets could go on sale early next month.
