Skating rink based in Balthane Industrial Estate in Ballasalla
A new roller skating rink in the south of the Isle of Man, hopes to tap into the Manx nostalgia for the pastime.
Co-director of Roller City IoM Steve Woodward says the space is the biggest of its kind on the Island, and fills the gap left after the Summerland disaster in 1973.
The Douglas leisure centre burnt down 47 years ago, on 2 August.
Mr Woodward says the new facility incorporates skating with disco:
It officially opens today (18 July), and for more information head to the Roller City IOM Facebook page.
