Closures for filming will coincide with annual event at Knockaloe

The organisers of the Royal Manx Agricultural Show say they've reached an amicable agreement with the production company behind the TT movie following concerns road closures for filming would impact the event.

More scenes for the film are due to be shot next month, resulting in road closures on sections of the TT Course.

It's led to concern from some residents in the north on access to the showground at Knockaloe on 8 August.

In a statement, the Royal Manx Agricultural Society says it has held talks with politicians and the producers over concerns the proposed closures would severely impact the show.

It confirmed it's received assurance from the producers that the closures will have a minimal impact on Island life, and in particular the show.
