Offences reported already this weekend
Police say they have reported people for Covid-19 offences already this weekend, and officers have had 'rude comments directed towards them' for policing social distancing and exercise rules.
In a post on social media, the constabulary says after engaging and offering advice on the government guidelines, one patrol officer was 'really concerned' some are still 'not taking this seriously'.
Residents are reminded that breaking the law could see you summoned to court, and getting a £10,000 fine or three months in jail.
The post finished by saying "it should not come down to fines and sentences though, people should want to save lives."
