Rule breaking drone pilots could face fine

CAA urges pilots to think

Drone pilots who go against the law could face a hefty fine.

The Civil Aviation Administration is urging those flying unmanned aircraft in Manx airspace to think about the consequences of their actions.

It comes after an incident in the UK where a drone and commercial flight were involved in a near miss.

Director of Civil Aviation Simon Williams says there could be serious punishments handed out to those who fail to comply with the rules.
