Runner bitten by dog

Police appealing for information

Police are investigating after reports of a runner being bitten by a dog in Archallagan Plantation.

The incident happened around 11.30 this morning (Sat 04 Jan) and left the runner with injuries, unspecified at this time.

The dog, described as being a white and red collie-type animal, was not with its owner, and ran off into the trees.

Officers say they're keen to prevent another incident taking place and are particularly concerned a child could be bitten.

Anyone with information is asked to get in contact with police headquarters on 631 212.
