A Rushen MHK insists proposals he’ll bring to the House of Keys tomorrow (Tuesday) are NOT a blatant attempt to derail moves to change the Island’s constituency boundaries.
Last year, Tynwald supported plans to create 12 equal constituencies of two seats each, in time for the 2016 General Election.
Supporters say the move to replace the current mixture of one, two and three seat areas will end decades of inequality amongst Island voters.
However, despite three separate public consultations on the issue, Juan Watterson says more options need to be looked at first.
