Sacked minister and government stability to feature in Tynwald this morning

Urgent question among the items at this month's sitting

The sacking of a minister and the stability of government will be the first subject discussed when Tynwald sits this morning.

The removal of Rob Callister from the Health portfolio and any effect it might have on government stability is the subject of the first of two urgent questions this morning.

The second is about the plans for the Meat Plant.

Then we move to 18 scheduled questions, ranging from the biosphere status, support for those on fixed incomes, talks to churches about the revised TT schedule - as well as a number of TT related questions - homeless people, attacks on livestock by dogs off leads and heritage railways.

A supplementary order paper updates on the review into government handling of Covid.

On the main order paper, statements from Chief Minister Alfred Cannan on the built environment, and on the Islands’ economic strategy, Our Island Our Future.

A report on green lanes and a motion on the postponed all Island leisure rate follow. The final item on the main agenda is on the green living grant.

November's Tynwald sitting gets underway at 10.30am - you can follow coverage live on Manx Radio's AM 1368 frequency or on our digital platforms.
