Part of Summer Hill Glen has been closed to the public after a routine safety inspection found problems with a wall at the bottom end of the popular beauty spot.
Douglas Borough Council decided to close the area because of movement in the wall, although the top section of the glen remains open.
The Council says it’s waiting for an independent structural engineer’s report but is keeping the section from Victoria Road through to Summer Hill Road closed for the time being.
It hopes to reopen the glen fully as soon as possible.
