Further talks to take place
There are to be further discussions to help determine the long-term future of The Sayle Gallery.
It’s been confirmed talks will continue after Monday's initial meeting between the Arts Council and gallery officials.
In a statement issued today, both parties confirmed they want to reach a workable and sustainable agreement by early February and it’s hoped support may be forthcoming from other sectors.
The facility will stay open until at least September after the Department of Education and Children last month stepped in to ease a funding shortfall.
Economic development chiefs will also get involved in the talks.
