Board member resigned from role

Melvyn Reid was caught catching king scallops in his own vessel off Douglas early on 8 November last year - 22 minutes before boats are legally allowed to do so.

He was a serving member of the regulatory board at the time, but has since resigned.

Reid, of Queen's Valley in Ramsey, was fined £5,000 by magistrates last week after pleading guilty to breaching regulations.
