Two local lads are about to head out on an intrepid race across Western Europe, all in aid of a good cause.
Martin Burns (left) and Andrew Beasley (right) will be on the start line for the "Scally Rally" today (Wednesday), in a car which cost them less than £100, a stipulation for entry to the event.
The daring duo, who both competed last year as well, have chosen to raise money for Manx Cancer Care and hope to double the £1000 they collected in 2006.
Martin and Andrew say the race is tough and it's not just a case of reaching their final destination either:
Main road between Peel and Douglas to shut for tree felling
'Targeted and intelligence led approach' to protect Island's borders during Irish sailings
Airport Director role advertised with top salary of £120,000
Traders on Michael Street feel 'abandoned' by politicians in tough times
