School bus charges have been halved, but you'll need to fork out extra for the cards needed to get the discounted rate.
The smart cards will go on sale next week for £2 and will need to be topped up with money to pay for the bus when charges start on January 7.
Children receiving free school dinners won't have to pay bus fares, or for the card.
