Scrapping face-to-face educational sessions for new parents 'disappointing'

Online resources to be provided instead

The decision to scrap face-to-face educational sessions for new parents has been met with disappointment.

Manx Care says they're being replaced with online resources instead.

She told Manx Radio more hands-on support before her baby arrived could have better helped her understand the change that was coming:

The sessions gave first-time parents the opportunity to discuss the upcoming birth and seek advice for when the baby arrives.

It also included a tour of the maternity ward and a chance to meet other families due at similar times.
