Emergency Services were called out in the north of the Isle of Man last night (Thursday) after reports a child had been heard screaming.
The call came shortly before 1am from the area of North Shore Road in Ramsey, close to the harbour.
Police, firefighters and coastguards carried out a search, which involved knocking on doors and waking local residents.
Officers say the child was found safe and well, but no further information has been given.
Police are thanking members of the public for their help.
