Appointment for key appointment to start soon

The search for a new attorney general for the Isle of Man will begin in 'a mater of weeks'.

New Chief Minister Howard Quayle confirmed the position in answering his maiden question in Tynwald this morning (18 Oct).

The role of the Island's senior legal adviser has been vacant since Steven Harding retired in the summer.

He was suspended in October 2012 and later acquited of perjury charges with John Quinn appointed acting Attorney General in January 2013.
