Trust unveils new walking guides
Walkers out west will be furnished with some new historical guidance later.
The Michael Heritage Trust is unveiling the first of its new Village Trail Maps this lunchtime, at Milly's Picnic Area on Orrisdale Road.
Illustrations and routes will point visitors towards local points of interest such as crosses and churches - as well as more unusual features like the old village bakery and the notorious Cronk y Croghee (Hill of the Gallows).
The Trust says it plans to erect 'four or five' of the maps around the area.
All are welcome to the unveiling at 12.30pm.
