The process of selecting a Chief Constable and police complaints commissioner has come under fire from a retired inspector.
Castletown man Roy Redmayne (pictured), who held the post with the Greater Manchester Constabulary, has long called for an independent police complaints system in the Island to be established – something a Tynwald select committee and the Police Federation support.
And he believes the current selection process is also far from
independently regulated:
