Service pays tribute to holocaust victims

Open to all - regardless of faith, race and age

There's an opportunity for Island residents to come together to reflect on the human cost of holocausts this weekend.

The annual Holocaust Memorial Service is being held at St Mary's church on Hill Street in Douglas on Sunday afternoon (22 Jan) from 2:45pm.

It's open to people of all faiths and no faith, and is billed as multi-generational and multi-ethnic. 

Organisers say the event is an opportunity to instill tolerance, fairness and humanity in young people's minds, in the hope they will not be influenced by hate speech.
