The Isle of Man Constabulary says it has achieved a significant reduction in the numbers of staff and police officers on long-term sick leave.
In 2004 it was revealed that 18 employees were absent in the category, but Home Affairs Minister Martyn Quayle says that has been reduced to a single officer, who has a serious injury.
