Steam Packet says work to return to vessel to service remains on schedule
Work to return the Manxman to service by the end of November remains on schedule.
The Steam Packet Company's latest update on the flagship vessel says significant progress has been made over the last week.
A specialist contractor has completed all machining work in the bearing carriers, with work now underway on the bearings.
Repainting work on the vessel, and recoating of the car decks is also underway.
The vessel has been out of service since July, after issues with the propulsion shafts, liners and bearings were discovered during a period of routine maintenance.
Earlier this month, the operator confirmed the work is expected to cost around £5million.
