Veterans have been remembering a battle in France which changed the course of World War II.
The Battle of Arras took place shortly before Dunkirk, and saw British forces counter-attacking the Nazi army which threatened to bulldoze its way through France.
Thanks to the counter-offensive, hundreds of thousands of troops were able to retreat to the beaches where they were evacuated by a fleet of small boats.
Former Lieutenant Governor Major General Sir Laurence New is one of those who travelled to France to commemorate the events in 1940:
Island's finances 'in a better position than most other jurisdictions'
Completion of assisted dying bill 'the most significant moment of 2025'
Keep dogs away from Garwick Beach for next few days
Cost of sending a letter on the Island to increase in January
