Work to transform the Bowl stadium in Douglas has begun.
The £3 million needed to carry out the project was only agreed by Tywnald earlier this month, with work due to get under way in August.
However, men are already on site carrying out preparatory work, ahead of a big push to get the facility ready in time for next year's Commonwealth Youth Games.
Leader of Douglas Borough Council David Christian says that was always the plan, once the facility had been transferred to central government:
More bus services at risk today
Cost of land pushing would-be farmers away from sector
Charity wants to hear from those who've benefitted from oxygen therapy
All invited to take a dip for Arlo's Adventure
