Enterprise Minister Laurence Skelly admits he's 'surprised' by a stark drop in visitors to the Island last year.
The Cabinet Office's 2017 Passenger Survey shows almost nine per cent fewer people came to the Island in 2017 than in 2016 - the lowest number in a decade.
As part of a shake-up last year, the Department of Enterprise announced an increase on growing the Island's appeal as a tourist destination.
In spite of the decline, Mr Skelly insists the picture is improving long-term, and that those who do come are 'spending more and staying longer'.
He says he's committed to addressing the latest findings.
