2019 Festival of Motorcycling came to an end on Thursday

Laurence Skelly has been speaking after the fortnight of road racing came to an end on Thursday.
Manx Motor Cycle Club President Harvey Garton has told Manx Radio he'd like to see the department remain more involved once the Classic TT is over and it's the MGP's turn to take centre stage.
Mr Skelly disagrees with the idea the DfE isn't giving the MGP sufficient backing:
There will be more on this, from both Mr Garton and Mr Skelly, on Monday morning's Mandate from 7.30am.
This article has been updated since its original publication following a request for clarification from the Department here.
The article originally suggested the minister was responding directly to the MMCC president concerns and this was not the case. Manx Radio is happy to set the record straight.”
